Michigan AvengerZ Close Out Preseason at 0-2, Set Sights on Regular Season with Renewed Focus

Detroit, MI – April 8th, 2025 – The Michigan AvengerZ wrapped up their 2025 preseason campaign with a record of 0-2, following a pair of hard-fought matchups that tested the team’s depth, grit, and off-season chemistry. While the scoreboard didn’t tip in their favor, Head Coach Jeff Pitock and the AvengerZ organization remain optimistic about the foundation being laid for the season ahead.

“This preseason wasn’t about wins and losses—it was about finding our identity,” said Coach Pitock. “We’ve got a lot new faces, new energy, and a lot of raw talent. These games gave us the data we needed to sharpen our edge.”

The AvengerZ, known for their hard-hitting, high-flying style of play, showed flashes of brilliance on both sides of the ball. Standout performances from rookie wideout Joshua “Flash” Nelson and linebacker Chris Frison Jr. hinted at the explosive potential this team is ready to unleash when the regular season kicks off.

Quarterback DJ Brown emphasized the team’s growth mindset. “We’re learning, adapting, and staying hungry. The record doesn’t define us. What we do next does.”

The AvengerZ open their regular season campaign next week away in Pittsburgh vs. The Pittsburgh Outlaws, where fans can expect a show of firepower, heart, and a renewed mission to dominate.
